Creating the new Wakefield Library and Museum

We are supporting Wakefield Council to develop a new integrated Library and Museum right in the heart of Wakefield.

The venue is an ex-BHS store in a shopping centre and will play a major role in the city centre regeneration plans.

This early-stage work includes developing insight into current and potential audiences and then exploring matching offers that will be attractive to a range of visitors, feeding into the project design.

Working with the project team will generate fresh approaches to engaging visitors with the Museum and Library collections, whilst encouraging access to the Council’s services. We are also looking at encouraging visitors to explore attractions around the whole of the Wakefield district.
